Play!ground is the Play framework user group.

After several successful Play!ground events in Rotterdam, including the January 2012 Play!ground, the only problem has been having enough space for everyone. That is why we are organising a bigger event for the first Friday in February, with enough room for everyone thanks to the excellent facilities offered by:

Paddy Murphy’s Irish Pub

This event is the perfect opportunity to learn practical techniques, learn more about Play’s advanced features and meet other Play developers. We also expect to have some fun.

Programme

Our programme starts earlier than normal, so we can make the most of having the Paddy Murphy’s sports bar to ourselves, before doors open to the public in the evening.

For this event, we are focusing on Play in practice, with case studies of Play being used for business-critical applications.

Nicolas Martignole will present what he learned in one year of development with Play: what was easy, what was hard… what he would recommend if you go live with Play.

BoosterMedia is a mobile games distribution company, whose web platform serves 12 million hits per month. Robert Bakker will present technical highlights and his experience of using Play to build and deploy a highly-scalable web portal.
